You are so close to everything the Northern Beaches has to offer, especially as it is just a 10-minute drive/bus trip to Manly Beach & Dee Why has access to the B-line (express bus) straight to Sydney City. Explore & take long walks to enjoy the environment, native flora & vibe of the local area. Long Reef Beach Nature Reserve is a short stroll north, or head south to Curl Curl & Freshwater Beaches. Whilst staying at Banksia there is little need to have a vehicle as you can walk to the beach, cafes, restaurants & supermarkets. The bus stop is just at the end of the laneway on Griffin Rd. You might like to take a short bus ride into Manly where you can hop on a ferry to take you across to the City & Bondi - if you are so inclined to venture to the 'dark side'. Detailed information can be provided, if required, to assist reaching your destination. There are so many things to do on the Northern Beaches. Try a walk around Dee Why lagoon to check out the bird life, or a cliff walk from Dee Why to Curl Curl with stunning views. Walk to Long Reef Marnie Reserve or take a bike ride around Narrabeen Lake. Do a short drive to Manly or visit Palm Beach. Shop at Westfield Shopping Mall. Dee Why is one of the northern beaches' most popular dining & surfing areas. Take advantage of the coastal living & hit the beaches, rock pool or promenade to soak up the sun. The apartment is up on a hill in a residential area, slightly removed from the village centre and nightlife sounds. The famous Manly surf beach or still water Shelly Beach are within walking distance. Buses travel constantly up and down nearby Sydney and Pittwater Roads to all surrounding areas and the city. Manly Wharf is in walking distance to catch a boat into the city. I walk from the apartment to everywhere in Manly. If you need a car there is an off street space for a small to medium size car secured behind a gate. For a larger or 2nd car there is a resident parking permit for free unrestricted street parking. For those who find walking up a hill to the apartment from Manly difficult there are frequent bus services which stop on the flat nearby and a taxi rank at the bottom or the hill which cost about $7. Manly Council provides a free ‘hop, skip & jump’ bus every 30 mins from morning to early evening, which stops near or in the street - depending which route you take. There is room for surfboards and outside shower is a great way to rinse off after the beach. The dryer is located under the house near clothes line. Washing machine is in the kitchen. The apartment is on the ground floor of a two apartment duplex. Access to the house for those with a disability has one small step up to the front verandah and another small step up once inside the entry hall. There are another two steps inside the house from the kitchen up to slightly elevated dining/sun room. Manly is a fabulous lively city village.
