Starting with a glorious view of the sound, this duplex is conveniently located one mile from Fort Macon State Park and two blocks from beach public access. It has been totally renovated inside with new furniture and appliances. It hosts 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. Queen beds in both bedrooms. Second bedroom has additional set of bunks with double on bottom. There is an outside shower. For boaters and fishermen, there is room to park your boat and it’s about 500 yards from a public marina!

We have chickens pecking, ducks waddling through the gardens, sun shining through our stained glass, spiders spinning webs, paint drips, palmetto bugs, an old swing in the front yard, cats napping, Spanish moss in the trees, and a screened-in porch to take in the beauty of a long day's sunset. Our island homestead is for those looking for a down-to-earth stay with nature & art close at hand. ♥

The Yates Cottage is directly on the water and is designed for spectacular views of Core Sound and Cape Lookout Lighthouse with large windows on 3 sides. Other amenities are a large screen porch, fire pit, and a large yard for lawn games. The Yates cottage is great for couples, families, dogs, joggers, walkers, bikers, fishers and boaters. You will be welcomed with freshly-made beds, towels and a full kitchen with Keurig and Rachel Ray cookware.

The 'Outhouse' is attached to the deck and is a separate space to hangout, watch movies & use the PS4. There is everything you need at the Mermaid Cottage!

Ant’s Corner is a cozy coastal retreat with a water view in a quiet neighborhood conveniently located near Island Express Ferry Service and Core Sound Waterfowl Museum. Home updates done in spring of 2024 include- entire interior painted, popcorn ceilings removed and other drywall repairs, new ceiling fans and interior lighting, and more! House is stocked with plenty of kitchen necessities and other conveniences so all you need to do is show up ready to relax!
