Kintsugi-Japanese art of putting broken pottery together
Join me for a morning of mindfulness for an introduction to the Japanese Art of Kintsugi. This centuries old art form is filled with many philosophical lessons and can be viewed as a metaphor for healing ourselves by embracing our own flaws and imperfections. Traditional Kintsugi can take months to complete. In this 3.5 hour workshop I’ll share contemporary methods to practice and apply on any ceramics that need to be mended to allow you to repair and restore into something unique and resilient rather than dispose of. During the 3.5 hours there will be time to order off our menu and enjoy our delish Dimsum (dumplings, Bao buns, Springrolls and won ton as well as rice / noodle dishes). Booking essential as space is limited. What to expect: A morning of mindfulness at our Traditional Teahouse to learn the traditional Japanese art of Kintsugi and to apply this to a ceramic of your own that needs to be repaired. What to bring: A ceramic of your own like a vase/pot plant holder/bowl etc that is either broken in half or with 2 - 4 pieces broken off. Please note the technique I will share uses gold leaf / gold powder that is not food grade safe. If you don’t have a ceramic to use - you’re welcome to purchase a ceramic from us. What’s the cost: The 3.5 hour workshop costs R680 and includes all materials and a welcome drink.

Hike Table Mountain with a Guide
We will hike to the summit of the iconic Table Mountain and experience why it's one of the New7Wonders of Nature. We will take our favorite more easily missed paths to the top. There are many routes that go up and together we will find one that suits your skill and confidence level. The trails all include a combination of hiking, varied levels scrambling and exposure to heights that will allow us to reach incredible viewpoints of Lion's Head, Twelve Apostles, Camps Bay, Back Table, and the Mother City. If you have a specific route in mind we can help you determine if it is suitable for you. The trails we do include India venster, Kasteelspoort, Skeleton gorge, and platteklip gorge but if possible and you are able we can do some more wild options. En route, we will take you into the world of the breathtaking Fynbos Floral Kingdom and the very first occupants of Southern Africa who named the mountain 'Hoerikwaggo' or Mountain in the sea. Once we reach the summit we will go to one of the awesome viewpoints to take some summit photos or just enjoy the view from the top. If the Cable Car Station is open then the hike will finish there, where you can then spend some more time at the top and soak in some more views or go and enjoy a well-deserved treat from the restaurant, my recommendations being their coffee, cold beer, appletiser, and milk tart. Other things to note Experience duration is dependent on the route and guests fitness and should take between 3-5 hours. The experience ends at cable car, if its closed then please add another 1-2 hours for the hike down.
Remarkable Hikes up Table Mountain

It's beautiful, stunning, challenging and rewarding at the same time. If you are up for an adventure and exploration, this experience is definitely for you. Along the way, you will be introduced to the most concentrated and diverse floral kingdom in the world and hopefully meet the Table Mountain wildlife, such as cute dassies, beautiful Himalayan Tahr or even small antelopes. We'll have lunch in a stunning spot with a view over the Mother City far from the crowded commonly used trails. The adventure can end at the top, where you're welcome to take Cable Car down, or we can hike down together, exploring another side of the mountain. Other things to note Transport: We'll arrange a meeting point. Decent: We can hike down, or you are welcome to take the cable car at your own expense. Languages spoken: English, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian.
Cape Town Trail Running
We'll have a ball of fun, immersed in the beautiful mountains and trails in and around Cape Town. We can trail run anything from 5kms up until anything close to 20kms depending on your fitness levels and time available. There are multiple options: 1) Lions Head Loop (5.5kms) - the iconic Lions Head loop. Great for beginners with excellent views. Gentle climbs 2) Lions Head + Signal Hill Loop (9.5km) - longer route which includes Lions Head and Signal Hill, passing the Signal Hill Karamat which is a world heritage site. 3) Camps Bay Pipe Track loop (10kms -15kms) - A relatively flat run along the Pipe Track with great views of the Atlantic Seaboard 4) Newlands Forest run - (5kms - 25kms) - Various shaded and leafy options can offer more challenging routes and better climbs. As an experienced trail runner in Cape Town, I can take you on less well-known routes and iconic stop-off points that the locals use and enjoy. As a volunteer mountain ranger, I can also offer you a safe way to explore trails in Cape Town.
Township & African food experience tour
We have moved our Township tours to Langa which is one of the oldest Townships with a rich history of Xhosa people in Cape Town. This is an experien that will educate you about the other side of Cape Town, meet the locals, play with the kids on the streets and learn the basic Xhosa cliques. The meeting point is at Jordan way of cooking restaurant where you can buy water during the introduction session. We value entrepreneurship development in our community, and we know that tourism is one of the sectors that supports small businesses. The next stop will be the kindergarten and meet the younger generation, then proceed to the Dompass Museum an old apartheid Pass court that has been turned to a museum. Developing business complex where young entrepreneurs are fighting youth unemployment visiting an art gallery where you can purchase art from the locals, coffee shop with good coffee to drink. The old beer hall with beautiful street art that used to sell African beer with its story. Housing development is still a huge problem for the poor of the poorest in Cape Town, we will then visit an old hostel housing that were built by the apartheid government for men only coming from Eastern Cape for cheap labor. We will also see the most developed side of Langa which we believe is the future of our Townships. We then walk to mama Nombulelo"s house for African food tasting and her story.
