Cosy, self-contained country cottage Garden Room

One of our 2 boutique, self-contained rooms set in the grounds of a Grade II listed cottage in the heart of Ashdon village, 10 mins away from Saffron Walden and 30 mins from Cambridge. Surrounded by beautiful countryside with lovely local walks & places of interest. A warm welcome at the village pub. Countryside retreat with Hot tub

We are adults only with exclusive hot tub. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The Fox was designed to reflect the Dark academia aesthetic. Comfortable quality furnishings, rich dark colours with a wood burner. Large private garden area with quality Hot tub and fire-pit/bbq. The Fox is set within our small holding. 1 of our 2 transformed mobile homes. 2 min drive to the local pub/shop. Train/bus connections within walking distance. 20 mins drive to Colchester City centre.

Shepard’s Hut in Small Orchard

This is a stand alone unit totally self contained with shower and toilet. Unlike garden rooms this unit has wheels and a tow bar. The (should I say) Shepherdess Hut as it was used by a small holder during lambing to be close to her flock. Not suitable for long stays. More details below in The Space. Our small orchard has 2 x cherry, plum, 3 x pear, 2 x apple, greengage, apricot, mulberry, medlar and olive. We also have two 2 x raspberry, loganberry, Japanese wine berry and our own hops

The Old Schoolhouse Lodge

In the grounds of the Old Schoolhouse sits our luxurious lodge. Separate from the main house. The newly decorated and refreshed Lodge comprises of 1 bedroom(with kingsize bed) open planned lounge with table & seating area. Bathroom consists of a shower & WC, there is an addition with a beautiful relaxing Sauna, Views through the large bi fold doors of the rolling Essex countryside with the most spectacular sunsets on the horizon. You can enjoy an evening firepit or breakfast on the patio.

Also close is the First Site Gallery, Mercury theatre and Colchester Arts Centre and only a short ride to Colchester Zoo, General Hospital, Colchester Station & Essex University. West Mersea and local beaches are just 20 mins drive away

Boutique cabin in countryside setting in the beautiful peaceful village of Little Baddow, a picturesque village in Essex. 10 minutes by car from the city of Chelmsford and 15 minutes from coastal town of Maldon. The village itself has 2 pubs and lots of walking routes nearby. Paper Mill Lock is a pleasant 30 min walk and has water sport facilities and tea room. Footpath maps available. Travel cot or single fold out guest bed avail on request, no additional cost.
