Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make you trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". We hope that a stay at the Temple will deliver this experience and stay true to this vision.

Our property has the most unique views of the iconic Dunfermline Abbey, the burial place of Scottish Kings and Queens, and where the tomb of Robert the Bruce can be seen. Nestled in our lovely walled garden and situated in the beautiful heritage quarter of our ancient capital Dunfermline, is the Garden Townhouse. Recently refurbished to a luxury and cosy standard, this home from home makes a great base to explore the Kingdom of Fife, Edinburgh, Glasgow and more and placed to access to the Fife Pilgrim Way. Our Townhouse was commissioned in 1875 by local legend and world-famous, Andrew Carnegie and has been stylishly converted into a bright and modern home.

Compact, warm, cosy house in a quiet residential area overlooking a small park. The house is simply and stylishly furnished. There is a small garden where you can enjoy eating out in warmer weather. In spring and summer the garden is filled with herbs and flowers. You'll usually find a few books in the hall and you're welcome to take any you like the look of. Easy access by rail and road to Edinburgh, Glasgow, and central and southern Scotland. 15 minutes drive to Edinburgh airport.

Tiny House in Cosy Village

Dating back to the 1700s, this tiny house had sat empty for over 50 years until George (Heather's son) invested his life savings to completely renovate it to a high standard, while retaining the original character of the building. Sitting below Bishop Hill in the picturesque village of Kinnesswood (2023 joint winner of Britain in Bloom's 'Village' category!), the tiny house is surrounded by breathtaking views, fantastic walks, and an abundance of local farm shops, cafes, and restaurants.

All our snugs have underfloor heating and generous en-suite bathroom with full size shower. Guests are more than welcome to bring food/takeaways into the snugs.

Mary Queen of Scot's chamber at Neidpath Castle is perhaps the most romantic place to stay in the Scottish Borders. Explore privately the whole castle and then retire to enjoy your suite rooms. The antique four poster bed, deep roll top bath and open fire evoke earlier times, but are truly comfortable and luxurious. An elegant table is set for breakfast. Peebles is 10 minutes walk away, with a host of shops and restaurants, as well as a museum and award winning chocolatier.

The Cottage

Licence Number F1-00692-F This beautifully renovated cottage dates back to the 18th Century. It sits in the conservation village of Charlestown and offers both woodland and coastal walks. The cottage is ideal for exploring Edinburgh and Fife. With St Andrews only 75 minutes from the property, this is an ideal retreat for any golfer. Murrayfield Stadium is only 30 minutes away for concert goers and sporting fans. There are two lovely local pubs which also serve food.

The Great Hall, Dollarbeg Castle

This 2 bedroom apartment is the beautifully converted former Great Hall of Dollarbeg Castle. Built in 1890, Dollarbeg Castle was the last gothic baronial style building of its type ever built. Beautifully restored in 2007 to the very highest standards, it was converted into 10 luxury properties, one of which is a conversion of the original "Great Hall" with its vaulted ceiling and majestic views across the formal grounds towards the Ochil Hills in the distance.
