Vintage Shepherd's hut in the heart of Somerset

A vintage shepherd's hut nestling in the heart of the Somerset levels, which has been sympathetically restored outside and modernised inside. Sleep under the stars (cloud cover providing!) and wake to a chorus of bird song. During the day, you could cycle or birdwatch on the Levels; fish; hit the beach (just 5 miles away); visit Glastonbury, Wells, Cheddar Gorge; or outlet shop at Clarke’s Village. Finish the day with a BBQ, or sitting around the fire pit or in the hot tub as the sun goes down.

Enjoy a comfortable stay for couples or families in the beautiful Somerset village of Brent Knoll. The barn consists of an open plan living area including a kitchenette with fridge and microwave. A twin sleeping nook - perfect for friends or little ones and a luxury master bedroom with king size bed. Enjoy walks up the Knoll and take in views across the Somerset levels. A small local shop and pub are just a short walk and local landmarks, Cheddar, Wells and Glastonbury Tor within a short drive.

Come and relax in our beautiful kingsize bedroom with own bathroom in a self contained Annex to our Somerset home near the Shapwick Moor Nature Reserve. Enjoy a delicious breakfast of warm croissants, muesli, yoghurt, fresh fruit, Orange Juice & toast (at a time if your choice between 8 - 1030 am), along with a Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave. Catcott has 2 friendly local pubs (although King William is currently shut) who do great food within walking distance.

Tucked away on the outskirts of sleepy Lympsham, enjoy the countryside around you whilst resting your legs after walking the renowned mendips. Enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the many birds in the surrounding trees or be a little more adventurous with the numerous local cycle routes. We look forward to meeting you on your stay. The carriage has been hand built and reclaimed from an old Devon railway carriage into a luxury self contained space - perfect for romantic breaks in nature.
