Rural RetreatQuiet and isolated

Situated in the shadow of the South Downs National Park on a small rural road with hardly any neighbours our charming cottage is a great place from which to explore the unspoiled open countryside and its many footpaths around us. The nearest street light is two miles away. Owls, deer and the occasional nightingale are the only sounds in the middle of the night The cottage décor is fresh and modern with plenty of parking and a small decking area. Beautiful barn, perfect for walkers, also great as a comfortable and spacious base for exploring the local countryside. Local cultural attractions include Glyndebourne, Drusilla's Park, South Downs Way. This spacious artist's home is located right on the South Downs Way, and it is only about an hour and a half walk to the coast at Exceat. There is a tree house for kids, a couple of swing seats for chilling out on, and the Cuckmere runs through the bottom of the garden.

The Hovel is an excellent base from which to explore the beautiful South Downs, with easy access by car, bus or bike. There are amazing walks on the doorstep along the South Downs Way, the coast is a short drive away and all the attractions of Lewes and Brighton are a short journey by pedal, bus or car.

Welcome to Seadowns, our five-bedroom holiday home in the Roedean area of Brighton. The house is only 10 minutes drive from the town centre, but this is far enough away to be in a quiet area with free parking. The beach is 5 minutes walk, and there are great footpaths over the hills towards Ovingdean and Rottingdean. It is a comfortable, easy base for exploring Brighton and the surrounding countryside and worth visiting any time of year.
