Our lakefront mountain home is the perfect family vacation destination or for a weekend getaway with friends. Ideally situated on 2 acres of gently sloping land on Lake Glenville near the villages of Cashiers and Highlands, the Lakehouse’s 200+ feet of shoreline, provide ample space to enjoy swimming or relaxing on the sun terrace overlooking the lake. It is one of the few homes on the lake that truly has a large sloping lawn down to the waterfront making it the perfect home to enjoy the lake.

Cozy Mountain Cottage

Nestled in the Summer Hill gated community at Lake Glenville, the main level has an open living area with a large sectional couch, breakfast bar off the kitchen, and dining area. The master bedroom has a king size bed with a TV. The loft functions as a second bedroom with a bunk bed and a pull-out trundle. The sleeping areas have separate entrances to a shared bathroom. There is an upper and lower deck, gas and wood burning fire pits, charcoal grill, Green Egg, and a hammock to hang outdoors.

Mountain cabin in woods, lake, deck, accessible

The cabin is our second home. It sits at 3,000+ feet, surrounded by quiet forest. It's half a mile up a steep gravel road. It sits on 2+ acres and has 180 degree winter views of the mountains. Bear Creek Lake is 2 miles below and visible from the deck year round. There is a woodstove and central heat but no air conditioning. The closest grocery store is in Sylva, which is 20 minutes away. There is a Dollar General and gas station less than 5 miles away, in the tiny town of Tuckasegee.

Beautiful Cozy Mountain Retreat

This beautiful space is a large, 1600 sq foot downstairs basement apartment, with a private entrance through the shared garage. It is a quiet peaceful area and is conveniently located nearby unique shopping in Cashiers, as well as beautiful gorgeous hikes, waterfalls. and lakes. An outdoor deck circles the entire length of the apartment and many windows provide a beautiful view of the mountain. At the Wyndham Resort, just down the road is recreational fun for everyone with a pass.

GSMNP, Oconaluftee River, Walk to shops, restaurants and attractions. The Wildcat features leather seating, king-size Tempur-Pedic bed, French-door, stainless fridge, large shower. The patio features a fire ring, BBQ grill (BYO charcoal). Adirondack chairs and a picnic table! Duraflame logs are highly recommended for outdoor fire pit. Almost Heaven is located above Lake Glenville with wonderful water and mountain views. One half of this updated duplex is all you'll need for your home base to explore everything outdoors in Jackson County. Downtown Cashiers and its grocery store, boutique shopping, and restaurants are only five miles away. Turn right onto Route 64 and travel 20 minutes to the town of Highlands, NC to explore Main Street and its' shopping and restaurant experiences.
