The Thunderbird Tiny House

The Thunderbird tiny house is located on the Thunderbird Ranch about 13 miles west of Mountainair, New Mexico. We are surrounded by the Cibola National Forest on all four sides. The property is owned by the Wester's and has been in their family for almost a hundred years. We also have other vacation homes for rent so if you want to bring another family we can accommodate that. Our centrally-located home is right off I-25 and close to everything with plenty of parking space and a great patio perfect for relaxing. Starbucks, Burger King, McDonald’s, Wendy’s, IHop, Applebee's, and more just a 1-minute drive. The airport is only 25 minutes and most spots in Albuquerque are about 35 minutes away. Belen is just 15 minutes, and the Balloon Fiesta Park is only 35- 40 minutes. Our home offers comfort and convenience for everyone! Please NOTE, the crib is a bassinet.

Spend your free time exploring the river for miles on foot or wheel, or hiking in the high peaks of the Monzano Mtn range, or golf 18 holes only 1/2 mile away! This area is also home to migratory birds like the Sandhill Cranes who can be seen and heard flying in formation at dawn and dusk from Nov to March.
