The Gate Cottage sits within the curtilage of Clarance House, a beautiful 18th Century, Grade 1, Queen Anne house in the centre of Thaxted. Guests will have access via the gates of Clarance House where they will find their own hidden entrance. The Gate Cottage has recently been renovated and consists of a cosy lounge and kitchen on the top floor overlooking the beautiful Thaxted Church. On the ground floor is a plush bedroom with King size 4 poster bed and a shower room/WC just across the hall.
