Kamesei Ryokan, quiet onsen inn, private standard

Kamesei Ryokan is a family-run traditional onsen inn with mostly warm wood construction and gardens throughout. We are an American-Japanese couple that are happy to share our onsen town Togura-Kamiyamada with visitors curious about the Japanese countryside. You can relax wearing yukata robes in your private tatami mat rooms and enjoy the hot spring mineral baths rich in sulfur content. (The onsen baths are tattoo-friendly.) Our chef's creative kaiseki-style dinners are highly recommended.

Cozy alpine guesthouse cabins with in-house natural hotspring baths in the forested highlands of Japan's epic 3000m Nagano Alps, offering the closest possible accommodation to the "Roof of Japan" - the Alpine Route and Takase hiking treks. Hakuba ski resorts start 15 minutes away. We also have a compact music studio in the main lodge with guitars, bass, keyboard and electronic drum kit - suitable for a small group of musicians with space for 3 to 4 players and 6 to 8 intimate audience seats.

3 min walk to Matsumoto castle and Nawate street. The Hostel faces a quiet street and there are some good-old restaurants, Izakaya bars and a public bath around there. The building is renovated traditional Japanese house so that you can enjoy cozy Japanese atmosphere and have a relaxing time on the Kotatsu, hammock and couch sofa in the common area. The room is Japanese-style dormitory room with bunk beds. Each bed has a reading light, outlets and a storage box for valuable items.

Our hotel is a local hotel rooted in the community, about a minute walk from Matsumoto Station. It is conveniently located for both business and sightseeing. There is a cello at the entrance and a picture of the majestic rock peak of Mt. Okuhotaka behind the front desk. The large cypress baths in the hotel are popular for their use of Kiso cypress, so please stretch your legs and heal your tired body. We look forward to serving you when you visit Matsumoto.

Very comfortable second floor guesthouse, with south-facing lounge, overlooking classic Nawate Street in the heart of Matsumoto. Across Metoba River from Nakamachi merchant street, a few blocks from Matsumoto Castle, surrounded by cafes and izakayas, and a short walk to museums and Matsumoto station. We run a cafe & bar on the 1st floor, and live on the 3rd with our children. We're always here for any questions you have!

Yudanaka YUMOTO is one of the oldest Ryokan in Snow monkey area. The history has been more than 350 years.. It is easy access from Yudanaka station where is the bus stop to Jigokudani Monkey Park. Authentic room and onsen experience are available.
