The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

This charming villa, situated in the heart of Wainui, is full of character. With panoramic views overlooking Akaroa Harbour and the surrounding hills, this is a superb spot to relax and unwind. Come and enjoy the unique environment any time of year. This spacious family home has 4 (+1) bedrooms, a kitchen/living room with a large log burner, and another living/dining room with an open fire, both opening onto the veranda. This private area is perfect for unwinding and reconnecting with yourself. Wear covering clothing outdoors for insects 15 minutes from Hobbiton, close to Te Waihou Blue spring and Waiwere falls. Arriving at night, follow the solar lights. Dogs are welcome but no aggressive dogs. Please take your waste with you, we have don’t have bins in rural areas.
