The Old Reading Room West Stafford, Dorset.

The Victorian Reading Room of West Stafford is of historical importance. Used before the war as a Reading Room for the villagers and estate workers, the newspapers were provided, the village shop in the late 1930s, then a workshop and a store room for the church. We have now lovingly restored, decorated and furnished this amazing building into a cosy self catering holiday retreat, "far from the madding crowd" Open plan, comfy double sofabed, wood burner, country walks and fabulous village pub.

The Annex @14

Welcome to The Annex @14, a newly renovated ground floor property and great base for exploring historic Dorset and a perfect getaway for two! Self-contained with its own private entrance .The annex is attached to our home at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in the village of Crossways near Dorchester. There is a hot tub available for your own exclusive use! In the heart of Hardy Country, ideal for walkers and cyclists. Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, the beautiful sands of Weymouth Bay are close by.

Emerald Lodge

Emerald lodge is situated 11km from Monkey World and 26km from Corfe Castle , other attractions are Sculptures by the lake and Athelhampton House. Poole harbour is 32km and Bournemouth 38km . The property has a kitchen , bedroom , sofa bed and two bathrooms . An outside patio area with fire pit and bbq , private parking for 2 cars . There is a tv in the bedroom and living area . This is a non smoking property . Travel cot is stored in the bedroom , please request a sheet on booking for this

The Yorkshireman @ Piddlehinton

We are so excited about our conversion. Completely self-contained, it is a lovely, light, cosy open space with a well equipped kitchen, modern bathroom and a cool sleeping platform/mezzanine. Piddlehinton is a special place, 20 mins from the Jurassic Coast and 10 mins from Dorchester, in the renowned Piddle Valley, with beautiful walks, views and our award winning pub, The Thimble Inn. We are right next door if you need anything, but if you prefer your privacy, you can be totally separate.

No.1 The Courtyard is nestled just outside the village of Tincleton and was originally part of the servant’s accommodation to Clyffe House (1842). We are situated 6 miles from Dorchester, and within easy reach of many Dorset attractions; Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Corfe Castle, The Purbeck Hills, Kimmeridge, Southwest Coastal Path, Bovington Tank Museum, Monkey World, Weymouth, Swanage.

A beautiful new studio in the Dorset countryside with stunning views, a private entrance and a private terrace to relax on. The studio is equipped with an ensuite bathroom and a new kitchenette for your use only. Located opposite the awards winning pub "Thimble Inn" in a friendly village in the scenic Piddle Valley. It is a perfect central location to explore Dorset, with many attractions nearby, only 10min drive to the Cerne Abbas giant or Dorchester and 25min to the Jurassic Coast.

Jasmine Cottage

Jasmine Cottage is a characterful, compact barn conversion, that sits next to the 400 year old farm house. It sleeps up to four people (including infants), with a double and a twin room. We are one mile away from The Wise Man Inn - an award-winning pub; 6 miles from Dorset's stunning Jurassic coast and 3 miles from the county town of Dorchester. You will, however, need a car- or bikes! Sorry, no pets and no smoking. No EV charging, yet, but there are many fast charging points nearby.

River Cottage, Athelhampton

River Cottage is located in the grounds of Athelhampton House - a Tudor Manor dating back to 1485. Sleeping 6 guests in 3 ensuite bedrooms, River Cottage has a kitchen diner, living room and an enclosed private garden. Dogs are more than welcome. Athelhampton House and Gardens is open to the public all year round - and included in your stay with us are tickets to visit the House and Gardens. There is a Restaurant on site serving morning coffee and cakes, lunches and afternoon tea.

The Snug @ Snowdrop House

Hidden gem nestled on the edge of a small woodland at Snowdrop House, known locally as Snowdrop Corner. Just a short drive from the breathtaking Jurassic coast, The Snug at Snowdrop House offers the perfect get away to explore this beautiful and historic area. The Snug has a well equipped fitted kitchen but if you fancy going out we’d highly recommend you pop down the road to the excellent Thimble Inn! Outside there is a large decking area to enjoy some beautiful Dorset sunshine!
