The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

Kyoto Machiya Gion "Kunitsukami" araka-tanaka

"Kunitsukami" araka-tanaka is a traditional Japanese 'machiya' is centrally-located in Gion. It was designated in Gion historic district building by Kyoto City Gov. The house was built in 1892, and was completely restored under the supervision of Kyoto City Gov, and it was stand up for historical Gion principle. It is rented an entire house, and private!

Komachiya is located in a local Kyoto shopping arcade lined with grocery stores, cafes and immediately puts you in Kyoto daily life. A short walk takes you to Shirakawa, a willow-tree lined river which meanders through the historical Gion area. This is a nice place to visit Kyoto, just near the river Shirakawa, a really nice place sometimes used for movies or series. The house is near Chioin, Kodaiji, Higashiyama, Yasaka shrine. Just near the house, there is an old market where you can buy and eat Japanese food.
