The Highland Hut

Located in beautiful countryside, with its own private wood burning hot tub and fire pit, as well as five furry faced friends to keep you entertained, the Highland Hut cannot be beat when it comes to having a relaxing break. Marigold, Honey bee, Coco, Arnold and Bertie are our gorgeous highland cattle that live in the field the Hut is located in. (Don’t worry, there is a fence to keep them from joining you in the hot tub!) They really are incredible and will make your stay here one to remember.

Brand new, luxury, fully self-contained Shepherd’s hut, set in its own private area on our farm with outdoor seating area, fire pit and parking. Fully fenced and gated to provide a safe area for your four legged friend should you choose to bring them with you. Wonderful scenery and walks from the door, with popular towns of Buxton, Leek and Ashbourne all a few miles away by car.

SET ALONE IN A PADDOCK , ROMANTIC AND COSY RETREAT INTHE PEAK DISTRICT. All modern comforts, including a microwave, kettle,toaster, CD/DAB radio, Electric, sink+hot water inside hut and a large gas BBQ on the decking outside and 🔥fir pit. Inside is a fantastic wood burning stove or Electric Radiator,you’ll be snug as a bug and a comfortable double bed. At the end of the field away from the Hut is located a modern toilet and shower in a stone building 100m away with a fridge/ freezer. FREE WIFI

Our luxury Shepherd hut is brand new for 2023 and is nestled in its own private walled garden. It once belonged to the Swythamley Hall estate, where they grew fruit and vegetables for the people of the beautiful, impressive hall. Sit back and relax in your very own garden which is approximately 1 arce! You are surrounded by a private wall, woodland and nature. Sit with a glass of wine or a cooled beer and take in the breath taking views of the rolling fields, trees, animals and the roaches.

Nestled in the small village of Dilhorne, (about 6 miles from Alton Towers) you'll be wowed by the panoramic, stunning views & peace & quiet here. There are 2 great local pubs in the village, both offering a fantastic range of food & drink. You'll find some beautiful footpaths to explore through the field gate. The Shepherds Hut is nestled in our walled garden. It has all you need for a relaxing break including lovely views, wood burning stove, bathroom, mini kitchen and a comfy bed area. The clever design allows both a dining table with chairs or comfy seating to relax by the wood burner. Our biofuel hot tub can be hired for your stay. Meet our animals whilst wandering our fields or walk from the property in to Dimmingsdale & Alton village. We’re a 5 minute drive to Alton Towers.

Hut in the Hills Peak District, Unique & Tranquil

A perfect tucked away escape located in the stunning Peak District. A traditional Shepherd's Hut set on the edge of a large open field with rolling views of the countryside. A very secluded spot, pure escapism! Quirky & unique perfect to unwind away from the bustle of daily life. The hut sleeps two in a double bed. All bedding and towels are provided. In order to not make the Shepherd's Hut too cramped we have a separate utilities hut just a few feet away.
