Due to our rural location, you will need your own vehicle to access the many nearby attractions, ranging from Oxford, the stunning Cotswolds to the lovely local walks and pubs. There is ample onsite parking at the property.

If it's retail therapy Oxford (27 mins) has lot's to offer including the fabulous Bicester Village (33 mins)

The Old Stable provides comfortable self contained accommodation in the picturesque village of Stanford in the Vale, located in the beautiful Vale of White Horse close to the Ridgeway. We are 12 miles west of Oxford and within easy reach of the Cotswolds and River Thames. Village amenities include a pub, cafe and supermarket. The accommodation, located on two floors with private entrance, has an open plan fully equipped kitchen, dining and TV sitting area. There is an en-suite bath/shower.

More recently it has been extensively and sympathetically renovated to a high standard, decorated with a thoughtful mix of contemporary & chic antique furnishings.

A self contained Annexe

We live in a beautiful village with many countryside walks to choose from. We have Aston potteries shop and cafe within a 5 minute walk which does the most delicious lunches/cakes. We’re just a stones throw away from Witney town centre which boasts many eateries and plenty of high street shops. Our annexe is attached to the side of our home above a double garage, it has velux windows which gives a nice lighting. The room is spacious with a good size en-suite and it’s own entrance.

Symonds Barn is a spacious converted barn set in the middle of Childrey, a village on the edge of the Ridgeway, only 15 miles from Oxford. Choose between enjoying an escape to the countryside, with delicious meals in one of the many local cafes and pubs and walks through some really beautiful countryside (it’s a 5 minute drive onto the Ridgeway), or take advantage of the nearby shopping and culture in Oxford, Marlborough, Hungerford or Burford.

Huge glass sliding doors give views of the surrounding woodland, and there are two large patio areas for alfresco dining.

A self-contained studio suite with private kitchenette, en-suite shower room and garden on the step-free ground floor of our townhouse home. The studio is 5 mins walk to Wantage Sq. The neighbourhood is quiet with walks close by. NOTE: Whilst we are flexible with check-in/out, to allow cleaning time, please ask us if you intend to check in before 4pm, or check out after 10am. There is some household noise from 6am on weekdays.
