Cosy Barn with a Vineyard View

Nestled in open countryside next to our vineyard on the outskirts of Bishop's Stortford, an ideal base to explore East Herts & North Essex or visit London & Cambridge. The Cowshed is a recently converted barn sleeping 5, complete with fully equipped kitchen, dining area and comfy seating around a woodburner. Egyptian cotton linen and black out blinds in all bedrooms. Outdoors enjoy the wood burning hot tub, feed the chickens, take a stroll round our lake or discover the zip wire in the wood!

Located at the rear of our family home in the pretty & historic village of Stansted Mountfitchet, the modern one bedroom barn has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The trainline, shops, convenience stores and restaurants are just a few minutes walk away. Free parking is available on the public road next to the barn, up the hill or paid parking in local car parks.

Historic Old Stables in central Bishops Stortford

The Old Stables are in a courtyard, set back from Windhill, right in the heart of Bishops Stortford, close to restaurants, pubs, cafés and shops. Conversion of a historic coach-house and stables into a self-contained cottage which sleeps 4 or even 5/6 by arrangement. There is a high-ceilinged entrance hall with wood burner. The spacious kitchen is well-equipped. There are two double beds in the same room (one on a mezzanine floor above the other) and a double sofa bed in the dining area.

Stansted Mountfitchet station is a three minute walk with trains to Stansted airport (8 minutes), Cambridge (30 minutes) and London Liverpool Street (40 minutes). M11 motorway is 2.5 miles away. A variety of pubs,restaurants, takeaways just a short walk away. There are also shops for groceries nearby.
