Brent & Jean's Grain Bin Inn (Barn)

This one bedroom Grain Bin converted to a tiny home in the heart of the Midwest, has all of the comforts of home! You have the entire bin to yourself, complete with a kitchenette, full bathroom. You will have to be able to climb stairs to get to the main bed, but there is a futon on the main level. The exterior faces the corral where our cattle and horse may sometimes be, and free range chickens that may roam toward you, especially if they think you have food. We may eventually add more animals!

Tiny House on the Prairie is waiting to include you and your guest in this picturesque escape from the city. Snuggle up like a bug in a rug in the King size bed nestled in the loft. Wake up to a view of the grazing horses and cows. Watch the sunrise from the porch. This Tiny House is located on a 205 acre working ranch and riding stables. Enjoy a secluded stay in our one of a kind, luxurious log cabin treehouse. The treehouse offers 2 bedrooms, the master bedroom on the main floor with a rock shower and the loft bedroom with a half bath. The treehouse has a full wrap around porch with jacuzzi tub overlooking a spring branch and fire pit. Enjoy the outdoor shower with a 16” rainfall shower head under the treehouse next to the spring branch. Our gravel road welcomes you to a cozy home in the trees.

We are only 75mins drive north of Auckland, 10 mins off the number one highway. The cottage is built from beautiful untreated hardwoods set in a tranquil private spot, nestled on the edge of a regenerating native forest. The cottage is only a 2min walk down to the beautiful Kaipara Harbour. Our place is part of a 25 year old 300 acre organic permaculture farm, which we were instrumental in setting up as a working farm and village style subdivision.
