Beautiful, inspiring, and peaceful, Arthouse is a place to escape. This converted art studio in West Dorset is close to Chesil Beach and the Jurassic Coast. It is surrounded by wildflowers and features contemporary art and sculptures by artists Rouwen and Reeve. The space is complemented by mid-century modern furnishings, high ceilings, and exposed beams. All doors open to a private patio and a naturalistic garden. The Sauna, located in the gravel garden looks out onto sculptures and plants.

Relax at our unique and peaceful getaway in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck. The Knap, an annexe of our home, is close to many of Dorset's famous beauty spots along the Jurassic Coast, such as Corfe Castle, Studland Beach and Old Harry Rocks. During your stay you'll have the place to yourselves, including a fully equipped kitchen, luxurious bathroom, (with bath and shower), and a living space including a sumptuous double bed, sofa-bed and table. The Coach House is situated in a peaceful area of Swanage within a few minutes walk of the beach and a 10 minute walk to the town centre and the iconic steam train. A purpose built, fully equipped home from home, providing all you need for a relaxing holiday or short break. It’s a great base to explore Swanage and Purbeck and perfectly placed for cliff walks or leisurely days on the beach The bus stop at the bottom of the road (2 mins walk) connects you to Bournemouth and the surrounding area.

The Purbeck stone building in the southern outskirts of the town is separate from the main house, has it's own entrance and off-road parking. A five minute walk brings you to the Durlston National Nature Reserve looking out over the Jurassic coast. Durlston Castle, the Lighthouse and the Southwest Coast Path are 15 minutes away on foot. All without crossing a road.

On colder days huddle up on the sofa in front of the logburner or wrap up for some glorious local walks. The historic villages of Corfe Castle, Worth Matravers and Kingston are within walking distance of around 30/45 minutes, with lovely pubs at the end!

Rempstone Shepherd’s Huts, Purbeck. Sequoia Hut

'Sequoia hut' is a rurally positioned hut set on the grounds of a country Manor, which is located in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck, with Poole Harbour situated 2 miles to the North, the Jurassic coast 3 miles to the south and the historic site of Corfe Castle 2 miles to the west. The hut is cosy, well equipped and perfectly suited for a rural retreat, however please don't forget you are staying in a Shepherds hut and not a luxury apartment - there is no WIFI nor a TV!
