The Cartlodge

Ideal base for many local wedding venues, 23 miles from Stansted airport, just 2.4 miles from Witham mainline railway station (40 mins to London). Little Braxted is situated 12 miles north of Chelmsford and 14 miles south of Colchester.

2 bed bungalow, space for 4 people. Travel cot available upon request. Direct access via the side gate of main house. Countryside location Close to 3 local wedding venues; Hatfield Place, Boreham House, The Lion Inn. Lots of Countryside walks close by 10-15 min drive to Maldon 25 min walk to Hatfield Peverel Station 5 minute drive to A12 River Chelmer & Blackwater great place for Paddle boarding & Kayaks Check in is at 3pm but we can be flexible, please ask when booking. A charming apartment located within the Grade 1 listed Layer Marney Tower! This apartment is situated within the main building of the Tower but benefits from its own private entrance and is completely self-contained. The apartment comprises an entrance lobby with a small kitchenette (microwave, fridge, kettle, tableware for 2), a 5-piece modern bathroom (shower, bath, toilet, sink, bidet) and a magnificent master bedroom with a huge four-poster bed. This spacious Victorian cottage is a great base to explore the coast , walk, birdwatch or paddleboard. Situated in the traditional fishing village of Tollesbury the cottage has a lovely dining area, fully stocked kitchen, two large bedrooms and garden. We’re a 5 minute walk from the water and access to miles of coastal seawall walks and nature reserves looking over the river Blackwater. Tollesbury is a popular place in summer with a saltwater swimming lido and many water based activities.
