Authentic 19th Cent. gamekeeper's cottage set in some of the most beautiful countryside in England - many original features, log fires, squishy sofas, & large well-maintained private garden. The ideal spot for a romantic weekend or a countryside adventure with family or friends. Woodland walks, riding, cycling & fishing available. Fast wi-fi. Great pubs/food nearby. Dogs welcome. Comfortable lounge with TV, DVD and basicWiFi opening on to kitchen/diner which is well equipped for a self catering break including an oven with hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and table with seating. There is an additional cloakroom downstairs.Off road parking to side of property and seating area to the front looking over the tranquil valley.

The Old National School is a Grade II listed house, nestled in the beautiful hamlet of Sampford Spiney, located within Dartmoor National Park. Dating from 1585, the house sits in an idyllic spot between the Church and picturesque Sampford Manor. Originally the Church hall, it became the parish school in 1887 until 1923. It was only in the 1960’s that it became a residential dwelling. With its varied history, the house is quirky, with its lovely spacious rooms hinting at its eclectic history.

Two bedrooms: master bedroom with 6ft superking & ensuite, second bedroom with two singles or one superking. Dogs welcome but sorry, no more than two.
