The Stag Hut

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. The beautiful Stag Hut is situated within stunning Glen Urquhart with outstanding views, walks and beautiful scenery all around. The stag Hut has been created with a passion for the animal that often roams the fields that surround the shepherds hut. Beautifully decorated the hut has a double bed, fully equipped kitchen with a hob and microwave, no oven. Its own bathroom, shower, toilet and sink. Towels and bedding all provided. Room for one Dog

Authentic Highland Bothy by Schiehallion

The Bothy is an authentic, traditional Highland dwelling, carefully restored to preserve its original features and character while providing essential facilities, warmth and comfort. A farmyard location in the midst of our highland home and in the heart of wild, romantic Perthshire, at the foot of the famous Schiehallion. Two miles from the village of Kinloch Rannoch at the head of the loch, the Bothy is an ideal base for outdoor adventures, observing wildlife or a relaxing escape from the city.

On our Off-Grid Permaculture Croft we keep ducks, chickens and bees, have a huge green house and a large outdoor vegetable garden, fire pit & hammocks. When you book a stay you will be surrounded by nature, waking to wild birdsong and a glorious sunrise and visited by red deer in the evening with spectacular sunsets and Aurora.

The Star Hut at Rannoch Station

Unique, single-room glass-fronted hut in a silver birch/rowan wood on a small hill, full of character with a spectacular view 25 miles to the East. Rannoch Moor is a place of peace and tranquillity, there is no noise (after the 9.05pm train) and no light pollution. Weather permitting, you can watch the stars and sunrise while lying in bed, see deer walking in the wood, experience being cosy in the midst of dramatic weather or listen to the dawn chorus. Caledonian Glamping at Westward B&B offers comfortable and environmentally friendly accommodation in the Scottish Highlands. We are close to the beautiful National Nature Reserve of Glen Affric and a short drive from Loch Ness. Our eco micro-lodges have been a constructed using locally sourced timber and have turf roof. They are set in the wild meadow adjoining our house. Located in the small rural village of Cannich, they are a perfect base from which to explore the great outdoors.
