The living area is open plan with fully equiped kitchen, dining, lounge area with 65 inch smart TV. There are panoramic bi-fold glass doors, with views across the water to Dartmouth . Light and airy this newly renovated property is situated in a central location, close to all the amenities that Dartmouth has to offer but tucked away up School Steps, which is a quiet secluded location. There are 54 steps in all but the reward is the view, of the sea, river, castle and Kingswear. Our property is an old coastal cottage with a modern twist. It provides the perfect location to sit and take in the river life, the steam trains or as a base to explore the areas many attractions.

Woollen blankets, feather sofa, antique Scandinavian log burner, king-size bed with French linen & down, waterfall shower, & the softest towels. Our sleepy Devon hamlet is only lit by stars at night. You might just sleep better than you have in years.

Close to Torbay, and Dartmoor National Park, by car 15 minutes to Torquay, 20 minutes to Exeter and 30 minutes to Dartmouth. 2 hours 30 minutes to London by train. Coombe Cellars bar and restaurant is 250m along the foreshore. Templer way footpath passes the front of the property. (Haytor to Teignmouth)

It’s just a short walk to the village and the quay where you can catch the ferries to Dartmouth and Greenway or stay and enjoy the locally renowned Anchorstone Café and Ferry Boat Inn.

Welcome to the Old Chantry, a spacious town house located in the heart of Dartmouth next to the old Cherub pub. A permit allows free Mayors Avenue car parking. Surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants, this property is perfect for people who like being in a bustling environment and want to enjoy real life in a seaside town! This is an interesting house, with an ancient footprint and very modern interior. It is built over three floors and is a 35 second walk to the river - we counted!

Shuttaford - Modern Rustic Barn in Dartmoor Valley

Shuttaford Barn is a recently converted barn on a 16thC Dartmoor farmstead on the edge of the moors next to Holne and Ashburton. It is the perfect spot to explore the wilds of Dartmoor National Park, walk along the beautiful River Dart or head to the many South Devon beaches for the day. Or just relax in the peaceful surroundings of the barn and its garden. In summer months we generally do Friday to Friday bookings. Please message us if you would like to book alternative days.
