Historic Georgian Flat with Community Garden

It's filled with light and spacious for a one bedroom apartment. It's filled with fun things that I have collected over the years, so it comes with bags of my personality! It's quiet - especially the bedroom which is located at the rear. I like cooking, so the kitchen is well-equipped. Bring your tunes - there is a nice Sony bluetooth speaker to connect with! Access all areas - I keep the cellar and a filing cabinet in the bedroom locked for my own bits and pieces though. On arrival, I prefer to meet my guests in person to get you settled and share my local recommendations that fit with your plans and timing. New Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and carefully protected from new development. It supports a lovely mix of residential property and boutique retailing, including tons of coffee shops, private galleries, restaurants, and interior design shops. Bus stop round the corner and tram stop 5 minutes away at St Andrews Square. 10 minutes walk to the main railway station, Edinburgh Castle and the very heart of Edinburgh. Taxi rank 5 minutes walk down Dundas Street and taxis usually available on the street too. Please note my TV works via the internet so you can view BBC iPlayer/Netflix/Amazon content only. The bed is a standard double i.e. 4 feet 6 inches wide and 6 feet 3 inches long (137 x 190 cm). The bed will be made up ready for your arrival including 4 feather pillows, a duvet and a warm throw. An allergy free pillow and a hot water bottle can be found in the chest of drawers. I supply two large towels, a hand towel, a dish towel and a bath mat for each booking.

Walk along the Royal Mile from an Elegant Apartment

Enter into a magical courtyard off the Royal Mile guarded by four blue and gold dragons and you step back in time to a mystical period. The property dates from 1790 but has been sympathetically upgraded. The wonders of the Edinburgh Festival and Fringe are right on your doorstep, or, if you prefer, close the door and people watch from your bedroom or living room which look straight on to the Royal Mile. You really couldn't get a better position to enjoy the Castle, the Palace, Arthurs Seat or the wonders of the Old Town of Edinburgh. Entire property. I will be in the local area and always on hand if you have a question or an issue. Set in the heart of Old Town, the flat is steps away from the vibrant boutiques, craft shops, pubs, and restaurants that line the area’s quaint streets and alleyways. It’s an ideal stepping off point for visiting many museums and historic sites. This apartment is based on the Royal Mile where tour buses leave on a regular basis as do taxis and local buses. Walking is the name of the game in such a central location! Transport in from the Airport can be by bus or tram and both stops are a 5 minute walk up the hill to the flat.

DeanVillage, river balcony, free private parking

Central riverside balcony apartment located in the heart of the stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site of Dean Village. One of the most picturesque and oldest areas of Edinburgh with its narrow cobbled streets steeped in history. The outlook over the village and the river make this a rare and sought after setting. Dean Village is the most idyllic central location in Edinburgh with Princes Street being only a short 6 min walk away. Haymarket train station is within walking distance of the apartment.

Blissfully nestled on the quiet cobbled William Street, home to it's own artisanal delights and in the heart of the cosmopolitan West End and Unesco World Heritage New Town district. The flat is a stones throw from all of Edinburgh's main attractions, superbly located, just 20 minutes from Edinburgh Airport by tram with Haymarket and Waverley train stations within walking distance. The fashionable Stockbridge area is just short walk away, as is Arthur's Seat, the Water of Leith and Murrayfield.

A stylish one bedroom apartment situated at the foot of Edinburgh Castle Rock in the historical Old Town. Quietly hidden in a secure complex this home from home is a perfect retreat from Edinburgh's busy streets whilst still being centrally located. The apartment is fitted with a modern kitchen and sitting area, linen bedding and a shower room. The historical Grassmarket and surrounding Old Town is a great place to explore offering plenty of places to eat and drink.

Edinburgh City Centre/Meadows Flat

Completely refurbished (January - May 2019) and beautifully finished 1 bedroom flat within a couple of minutes of the Meadows, Old Town, Financial District and the University. Self-check in by key box, on to a quiet and tucked away tenement stair (1st floor, 19 steps, no elevator) flat, though we're happy to meet up and give you any tips or recommendations that you require. We are Airbnb hosts of almost 4 years and happy to share our experience.

Welcome to our home in the heart of Edinburgh! We named it ‘penumbre’, as it is perhaps the brightest, most radiant place in the whole of Edinburgh. An independent self-catering apartment for up to two people in the historic city centre, the apartment is our base when we are in town, and free for you to use for when we are away for longer periods of time.
