Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty within West Sussex (Warninglid), this lovely little home has a very special place in our family's heart and is equipped with everything you could need for a memorable stay. You will have access to the High Weald on your doorstep with numerous bridleways and footpaths. Access to the South Downs and coast is only a short drive away; locally, there is a wealth of fine dining choices and easily accessible shopping options in the nearby market towns.

The Stables Cottage…(the cutting garden house)

Be a country person for the weekend, stay in a 200 year old stable block, super light, with vaulted ceilings. A large sitting room, big bedroom, up a step to the kitchen/diner and bathroom. The newly fitted kitchen has sink, microwave, hob, and fridge/freezer. Also a sofabed. National Trust houses, historic Mayfield, village walks and the South Downs nearby. Small dogs welcome. The cottage overlooks the cutting gardens. A Private seating areas & wifi good for a working retreat!

There is a sitting room with woodburner for super cosy nights in, and the pretty bedroom has a luxurious 4000 pocket sprung king size bed, and quality Egyptian cotton linen. Outside is a secluded garden with a terrace, and seventy acres of woodland and pasture to wander through; our resident Labradors will be pleased to join you!

A second, larger, double room is available "Large Sunny Room with Cliffe View". These rooms share a bathroom. There is a seperate loo. You can also book the attic room which has an ensuite - Castle View, a green sanctuary. Also the whole house "Charming Victorian Terraced House", sleeps 6 can be rented. Close to some of the most famous walks in the South of England, most important of which is the route William the Conqueror took to seize England from King Harold II - the ruins of Hastings castle are only a short journey away!
