LIC is an hip neighborhood with great restaurants, a MOMA museum, rock climbing, yoga, and more. Visit Gantry State Park at sunset for amazing views of the Manhattan skyline!

Right along the East River, there is a lovely park In Long Island City with beautiful views of Manhattan. You can walk along the path and there is an outdoor restaurant and lots of seating. It is usually not too crowded. It is my favorite quiet place in the bustling city. It is also great for kids because there are several playgrounds and a huge sandbox within the park.
