Art-Filled Bohemian Apartment Near Holyrood

You will have the entire apartment to yourselves. We live locally so can meet guests on arrival and be available for any questions or to provide information about local amenities. The apartment is located in the Abbeyhill area of Edinburgh. It's a 10-minute walk to Holyrood Palace, a great selection of independent cafes, bars, bakeries, and good public transport to other parts of the city. The apartment is exactly one mile from Waverley Train Station which is a lovely 15/20min walk or 5mins in a taxi ride. Edinburgh Airport is located outwith the city, this is either a 30/40mins taxi ride (£20-25), or an airport bus or the tram and then a 15/20mins walk (or a second bus/taxi). The apartment is very central and safe, just steps off the Royal Mile within the Old Fishmarket by St Giles cathedral. Just 5 minutes walk to top attractions such as the Museum of Scotland, the National Gallery, Festival theatre and the Castle. Waverley station, the Meadows , George Street and the New Town beyond are easy walks away too. Great for sightseers, old and young and is NOT a party flat. My family use the apartment when working in Edinburgh and so it is more a second home than a hotel.

Active guests love the 30min walk along the scenic Union Canal which takes them straight to the city centre.

My lovely bright two bedroom Georgian apartment, is the perfect place to stay in central Edinburgh. Based right in the middle of Stockbridge, off the Main Street, down a quiet 18th Century terrace. It’s ideal to explore the city and then come home to relax and have a good quiet sleep. All of the rooms have original wooden shutters that can block out any light. The apartment is very calm and serene …even with the abundance of cafes, restaurants and bars within a walking distance.

Our lovely spacious apartment is part of a city centre Category A Listed building from the Georgian period in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town. The area dates from the 18th Century and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. All around you are cobbled streets, beautiful Georgian architecture and plenty of great cafes, bars and restaurants. It’s a very safe and quiet area, and just a short walk to the mediaeval Old Town, and to the lovely adjoining local neighbourhood of Stockbridge.
