The Arthouse - curated studio barn + sauna

An old art studio in a converted barn in Thomas Hardy’s West Dorset - close to Chesil Beach and the Jurassic Coast. The Arthouse, with tall ceilings and exposed beams, is carefully styled with art, sculptures and ceramics by the artist-owners. Selected mid-century pieces complement hand-printed wallpaper and vintage rugs. Rooms open to grasses and wildflowers with a private patio. The sauna house, behind the main barn, looks out to the gravel garden. The Arthouse is the place for R & R.

Chesil Lodge Cottage

Chesil Lodge Cottage is situated in the beautiful coastal hamlet of West Bexington, one of Dorset's best kept secrets, and just a stone's throw from the spectacular Chesil beach. The cottage is a comfortably appointed chalet with its own driveway, ample parking and enclosed private garden. There is a wooden veranda with sea and countryside views. Inside there is one double bedroom and a further bedroom with a double bed and single bunk above. There is also a sofa-bed in the lounge.

Peaceful Annex in Puncknowle, stunning views.

At the end of a no-through road on the edge of the village, this quiet upstairs annex has stunning dual aspect country views across the Bride Valley. The large (32m2), warm and spacious room includes a simple kitchen area and there is a separate bathroom. The annex sits above our garage, accessed via a shared rear hallway. Puncknowle is a quiet village less than 2 miles from the beach, perfectly situated to enjoy the Jurassic coast. The friendly Crown Inn pub is a 5 minute walk away.

Berry Farm Cottage

Berry Farm Cottage nestles in a private area of the grounds of Berry Farm, which dates back to the 16th century. It is located in the charming Conservation Village of Walditch, within walking distance of Bridport. The Cottage itself has 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms with an open-plan living space and is set away from the main house in its own private grounds, with 1,200sqm (0.3acres) of orchard garden, as well as an outside patio with table and chairs, with country views.

Converted Carriage House

Enjoy a peaceful stay in our Converted Carriage House. Upside down living gives the best views on the rolling countryside. The Carriage House is set in the heart of rural West Dorset, a walk away from the Chesil Beach and just a five minute drive to the sandy beach at Burton Bradstock. Located overlooking the peaceful Bride valley, with picturesque villages, surrounded by rolling hills. Puncknowle itself is a small farming village with convivial pub just a 2 minute walk.

Situated in a quiet little village next to a Local pub with stunning views from the beer garden and footpaths to beautiful country walks with coastal views. Perfect for a summer break with West Bay, Burton Bradstock, and Bridport a short drive away. In the Winter months enjoy cooking in the well equipped open plan kitchen while others can unwind watching tv on the sofa in-front of the log burner.

The Seaside Shepherd’s Hut

Fall asleep to the sound of waves on shingle in this stunning, hand-crafted oak shepherd’s hut. In winter the Hut is cosy with double glazing, a wood burner plus radiator. In summer relax on the deck to enjoy glorious views of Lyme Bay on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Nestling in my garden, Chesil Beach and the South West Coast Path are 30 seconds away down a private path. Watch magnificent sunsets over the bay and enjoy stargazing in our dark skies.

West Dorset Bride Valley rectory cottage

A unique rectory cottage in the sleepy Bride Valley village of Litton Cheney. 10 minutes from the Jurassic coasts' many beautiful beaches (including on of the Time's Top 50 best UK beaches), 20 minutes from charming market town Bridport. A wonderful place to relax away from it all, or a great base for exploring the enchanting West Dorset countryside and coastline, as well as the many charming towns and hidden villages of West Dorset.
