The views!!! What others pull over on roadways to see is out your bedroom window while lying in a very comfortable bed. The panoramic views from the house, property and porches are beyond breathtaking. We even had deer come visit one morning. We felt right at home immediately.
The house was very clean and we had no issues with WiFi or streaming. Our stay with our pup was peaceful and the drive to town was less than 10 minutes. No truck or suv is needed to get to the house off the main road. The private road is hard compacted gravel. Nice easy walk for the dog if needed, although area hiking wore our fur kid out.
We shopped outside Highlands at an Ingles supermarket on our way in for our weekly supplies knowing there is limited groceries in the area. There is a high end grocery market in Highlands if you forget anything.
Thanks for the firewood, we had a few relaxing nights, nice touch! We hope to return again.

My husband and I love this cabin. It is beautiful and comfortable, with every amenity you could need. The view from the decks is just spectacular, and we really enjoy the peacefulness and quiet. We can be in downtown Highlands in 10 minutes if we want to shop or dine out. Mary is a thoughtful and responsive host who wants to make sure her guests are comfortable. We plan to return for a third time.

Mary’s home is absolutely wonderful. It has the most amazing views and is so amazingly quiet and peaceful yet so close to Highlands with all its amenities.
Mary is a fabulous host who has literally thought of everything you could possibly want right down to binoculars on the back porch. If I could give this home 10* I would - we had such a lovely vacation and can’t wait to return.

Everything about Mary’s place was absolutely perfect. The cabin was comfy, clean, and beautifully decorated. The home is tucked away in a perfect quiet neighborhood with stunning views of the mountains, but also only a 10 minute drive in to Main Street where we enjoyed delicious cocktails, meals, and shopping. Mary was very responsive and friendly and gave us some great recs for our stay as well. Will 100% be back to Mary’s place again!
