I had a wonderful 2 weeks' stay at Yovanny's.

It is always clean and quiet in his apartment and Yovanny is very receptive in communication. The location is within walking distance of several restaurants nearby, to the bus stops, a beach, and the major grocery store La Comer. Inside the apartment, there are many choices of TV to watch from. There is a laundry washer and a clothing line to hang dry. The bathroom is small with the toilet right next to the shower, and the water pressure is light, but I have no problems with this.

One evening, there was no gas to run the stove or hot water, but Yovanny notified me of this and it was fixed the next morning. My only complaint is occasionally, the neighbours' dogs can be very loud. The real highlight of my stay is Yovanny's shy cat whom I would slowly approach and play with, and by second week, the cat came to me asking for pettings!

Yovanny is a great host. He works late but is always kind and responsive. The apartment is comfortable, very clean, quiet, well-supplied, and well-equipped. I especially like the location because it is close to many great restaurants, about 20 minute walk to the closest beach, and Yovanny has lots of tips. (Since I am mold allergic) I was pleasantly surprised that the apartment doesn’t have any musty smell and stays cool in hot and humid weather. I only needed the AC for 3 out of the 14 nights stay. The black kitty, Lucky, is very cute and curious, but shy. I wasn’t able to pet him until a week into my stay. I loved that Yovanny installed little lights and devices throughout the home for your convenience—he seems very tech savvy. The only downside is that the apartment is on the 3rd floor (ground floor is 0th) with no elevator. The internet is fast, in the hundreds of MBPS, though it went spotty a couple of times in two weeks, which is probably normal in PV. I would totally stay again.

I “shared” this 2-bedroom condo with the host, his school-age daughter, and their cat. I say “shared” because the host and daughter left early in the am and returned late in the pm with an occasional visit during the day. So, much of the time I had the shared space all to myself. I’m not a big pet person, but the cat was cute and shy, so we got along well. There was ample space in the room, closet, and refrigerator for my stuff. Some noise from barking dogs, but happily no traffic or bar noise. The bathroom is tiny but serviceable. The shower had only a single fixed shower head. I suggested he add a shower head on a handheld hose. Surprise! One soon appeared. Very nice host, great location, and a good price. I have spent a lot of time in this part of Vallarta and will definitely check availability here for my next trip to Vallarta.
