It can be daunting to share space in a stranger's home, but Sandra was incredibly warm, welcoming, and personable! As a host, she was also responsive, helpful, flexible, and understanding. The room itself was tidy and complete with essentials. I chose the location due to its affordable proximity to activities in other parts of the city. Therefore, I did not get to explore the neighborhood itself much, but it was quiet with street parking and Sandra comes with plenty of local recommendations.

Staying in someone's home is not something I'm use to, but Sandra was very welcoming and made me feel right at home, making sure I had everything I needed. Her place is very cozy! The police station is across the street, so you can feel very secure...and only a block from bars and restaurants and the bustle of the City. Very close to the subway (the only subway line happened to be closed the weekend I was there, bad luck!) I took advantage of the laundry room in the basement which was very handy. This is a great place to stay and explore Greenpoint!

This place was so perfect for a weekend away to the city for a friend’s wedding. Sandra was such a lovely host and the location was perfect!
