LET'S GET OUT OF THE TOURIST AREA where it is overpriced and crowded with tourists! This tour focuses on Ueno, which is not as crowded as Shibuya, Shinjuku and is less touristy. It is also famous with Japanese foodies for a good quality at reasonable prices. I'm going to take you to popular taverns and restaurants for ONLY LOCALS (NO TOURISTS!!) where the staff speaks only Japanese. I will order signature dishes, and we will discuss the food and drink (and you can pepper me with questions). We will visit 4 restaurants/taverns/bar in total, where you will sample sashimi, grilled fish and skewered meat, etc. You will also have the opportunity to try UNIQUE Japanese alcoholic drinks! (5 or more different type of drinks) You'll be able to experience what Japanese taverns are like. After visiting these three taverns, we will end the tour at a great Ramen shop that is popular with locals. Usually in Japan, when people take up KYUDO in earnest, it takes several months of practice before they are allowed to actually shoot at a target, but this program lets you go straight into action. Proper sushi making utensils and tableware are provided by local shops, and ensure an immersive, efficient, and photo-worthy experience. Then, the tasty part! Time to enjoy your sushi as well as some from the sushi master! While you eat your own, the sushi master will prepare more- and with expertly prepared wasabi as fresh as can be. Here you'll really be able to admire the true skill and speed of a sushi master! Traditional dashi soup and the finest green tea are also offered as a perfect pairing to the sushi.

皆様にサムライの精神を味わって頂けるよう、居合道場で安全第一に次の内容の体験をご用意しております。 １．道着の着用 　　はじめに道着（稽古着）に着替えます。 ２．居合の所作 　　刀を使い、居合を実践する上での基本の作法を体験します。 ３．刀の扱い、振り方の稽古 　　木剣を使い、基本的な刀の扱い方や振り方を稽古します。 ４．試し斬り体験 　　日本刀（真剣）を使い、実際に巻き藁を斬る体験をします。サムライの精神に則り、お一人につき巻き藁１本の真剣勝負となります。 ５．居合演武の観賞 　　居合の形・剣術の形・試し斬りの演武をご覧頂きます。 ６．日本刀・甲冑等の鑑賞 　　道場内に展示している時代物の刀や甲冑等に直に触れながら解説を致します。 日本のサムライが戦国時代にどのような心持でいたのかを感じ、普段とは違った角度から自己の内面に触れ、新たな自分の発見につながれば幸いです。 サムライ体験終了時に「修了証」を授与しますので、日本での思い出としてお持ち帰りください。 その他の留意事項 道具は貸し出し用の道着と居合刀をご用意していますので特別なご準備は不要です。また、館内の展示物や体験風景はご自由に写真を撮って頂けます。体験終了後に「修了証」を授与します。
