We'll prepare for you at our new restaurant in here, Kaisekistyle lunch--Traditional Japanese Cuisine--, Kaisen Donburi—sashimi rice bowls—with fresh seafoods and more. LET'S GET OUT OF THE TOURIST AREA where it is overpriced and crowded with tourists! This tour focuses on Ueno, which is not as crowded as Shibuya, Shinjuku and is less touristy. It is also famous with Japanese foodies for a good quality at reasonable prices. I'm going to take you to popular taverns and restaurants for ONLY LOCALS (NO TOURISTS!!) where the staff speaks only Japanese. I will order signature dishes, and we will discuss the food and drink (and you can pepper me with questions). We will visit 4 restaurants/taverns/bar in total, where you will sample sashimi, grilled fish and skewered meat, etc. You will also have the opportunity to try UNIQUE Japanese alcoholic drinks! (5 or more different type of drinks) You'll be able to experience what Japanese taverns are like. After visiting these three taverns, we will end the tour at a great Ramen shop that is popular with locals. During the tour, you will be able to talk to other travelers and share information about Japan. It will be great to exchange information from the same viewpoint. At the end of the tour, I will explain which train station you need to go, depending on where you go. If you want to drink a bit more near the last stop before last train departs, I can tell you where to go. You are going to have a full-size meal on the day in several different restaurants included ramen, so again pls come hungry!

In Japan, KYUDO is recognized to be a “Dynamic ZEN Meditation”. Believe it or not, you know when you hit the target the moment the arrow leaves your hand. Usually in Japan, when people take up KYUDO in earnest, it takes several months of practice before they are allowed to actually shoot at a target, but this program lets you go straight into action. Don a real traditional KYUDO uniform. Get matched with a bow and arrows for your body. Channel your inner spirits, but keeping your mind quiet, and try shooting an arrow at the middle of the target. You have dozens of times to try, but please understand that you may not hit the target on your first day, or you may get lucky once or twice. So, get advice on how to improve your movement. Although the instructor in this program is a DAN master (seeker), we have made many improvements over the thousands of people we have accepted for this experience and have created the program that can be enjoyed even by those who are new to Kyudo. * The meeting place for this program is different each time. We will start off this experience by learning about cultural aspects about mochi and the traditional sweets. Then we will go on to learning the various sweets: Mochi & Nerikiri Combo Class (14000 yen) - Default 1. Making mochi (rice cakes) using glutinous rice flour. You will learn how to make strawberry daifuku mochi. 2. Making your own dango (mochi balls on skewers) by mixing water with rice flour, sugar and water and coloring it. 3. Making two kinds of seasonal "nerikiri wagashi"—traditional Japanese sweets. You will learn how to shape the dough into a seasonal motif. (Recipe and tutorial video on how to make the dough will be provided) 4. Finally, you will taste your creations with a bowl of matcha green tea that you will learn how to make.
