Beautiful hike, beautiful views. Lots of people come up and stay up for the amazing sunset. Don't miss the hike across the way along the Rhododendron Gardens to the beautiful and less crowded outlook there.

Just up the road at the Tennessee-North Carolina state line. Hike a little or a lot of the Appalachian Trail. From Carver’s Gap, the trail is 1.36 miles to the fork of the Appalachian Trail/Grassy Ridge Trail, and another .57 miles to a 360-degree view atop a pile of boulders on Grassy Ridge.
