Amazing artistry by local craftspersons. But don't go to the store- go to the museum store on the Blue Ridge Parkway (not far). Most of us can't afford to buy anything, but the browsing will blow your mind!

Off of the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway, you don't want to miss this if you're a lover of all things handmade. Ground Zero for arts & crafts in Western North Carolina.

If you're short on time and can't make the rounds of artist galleries and shops, make time to stop in to one of two Southern Highland Craft Guild locations, either in Biltmore Village, the collection of quaint shops just outside the Biltmore Estate, or their location on Tunnel Road. The collection of arts and crafts on display is beyond the imagination... like a museum, only better, because you can take the art home! (If you have lots of $$ anyway!) Still worth a look, even if you are short on funds. And Biltmore Village restaurants are excellent, too!
