Nice to take a walk across The Hemmeland.

At the Hemmeland there is a great park at the lake-side where you can swim (also safe for children) ann enjoy the sun. There is also a small restaurant for snacks and an icecream corner.

Park along the Ijsselmeer in Monnickendam. (+\- 20 min drive) Many people walk their dogs here. They can be unleashed for most of the area. Nice views over the water. Parking free. There is also kind of a beach cafe called Strand 4, serving drinks and food, with a little beach to swim if you like.

Along the coastline of the "gouwzee" you can spend a lazy day at the small beaches.
