Wildwood State Park is a go-to park for us due to its multiple trails of varying length and beach access. It is about 20 minutes away in the town of Wading River. The beach can be rocky in places, so be careful.

Gorgeous beach views or secret forest trails- nature immersion less than 1.5 miles from the front door!

I like this place for hiking and enjoying the long island sound. It also has a playground for kids.
