The small, lovingly restored Orpheum Theater is at least worth walking by to admire the gorgeous facade on the front of the building. This is a great venue for shows, and if you enjoy classical music I highly recommend seeing the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra there if they are playing during your stay.

Beautiful theater that also hosts other performances, such as symphonies by the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.
