One of the most famous places to taste the traditional "poncha"even though it is not my favourite. Nowadays there are already many places making good ponchas but I would recommend : Poncha Rancho do Vale (a pink building at the roundabout before the tunnel to São Vicente). The owner makes the poncha on that moment and it may take time, but the taste is worth it. My favourite there and the original one is just made of lemon.

One of the oldest and famous poncha bars in Madeira. Here you will always find a lot of locals and tourists. However, a little bit up on the road in the roundabout you will find a pink building (Rancho do Vale). The guy there makes a delicious fresh poncha. You may need to wait around 20min...but wil taste different for sure.

Coming to Madeira and not having a good poncha is like going to Rome and not seeing the Pope! This is the ideal place for those who want to venture into the most traditional drink on the island.
