Artists collective founded by women in the mid 1990s to rescue musical traditions in Bed Stuy. Our son's music teacher, the renowned jazz musician, Ahmed Abdullah, is the director.

Sista's place is great !! One of the last few authentic places where you can listen to real jazz in NYC. You can find there the true atmosphere - relaxed and joyful - of jazz concerts - nothing like the pretentious clubs in Manhattan. They also serve drinks and if you wish you can order food at Angela's across the street and bring it in.
