Most beautiful cathedral in Gouda, with colorful stained glass. There are also still services being held, so Sundays you are welcome there for free.

The Sint-Janskerk of Gouda is a beautiful large cross church in the center of the city. At 123 meters, the church is the longest church in the Netherlands. However, this does not stand out because the church is hidden behind some monumental buildings. Only in the church do you notice the greatness of the church. The church is famous for its stained glass windows. These windows largely date from the sixteenth century. With this, the church owns the majority of the sixteenth century glass that is still present in the Netherlands. During the reformation, a large part of the interior of the church was demolished. Monumental “Sint Jan Church” – This is the biggest, oldest church in Gouda. You can walk around it through small alleys and the park around it. You will be impressed by this enormous building.
