Drive to the end of the island and visit Orient Point State Park. It has a beautiful beach with bathrooms, snack shop and playground. Enjoy a great walk along the sandy beach!

This is the very tip of the North Fork where you can see the lighthouse that used to keep ships from running up on the rocks. There's also a state park where you can explore the beaches on the Peconic Bay side.
