This is about 25 mins from the cottage. We go here regularly as garden great for children (not when too young as right on the river) and the food is always reliably good. Book for inside tables on weekends.

The Fisherman's Cot is within easy walking distance of the Castle, has a varied menu, is family friendly, and is in a fantastic setting beside the River Exe. It is said that Simon & Garfunkel were inspired by the view to write Bridge over Troubled Water.
