Want to feel the calves burn? Bird Ridge offers some truly remarkable views of Turnagain Arm, but they don't come easy! Sea Level to 3,400 ft in under 2.5 miles. It is an intense battle against gravity and elevation but so worth the burn.

A popular trail that can be taken up to the top of the ridge line or horizontally along the inlet. Bears are common in this area but so are other people (especially on weekends) so just be cautious and study up on bear safety. Views are amazing from almost everywhere and there are picnic areas at the parking lots.

Long up hill hike, bring water and bear spray just in case. If your in shape give yourself about 3 hours round trip. If you are competitive have fun.
