My favourite beach, for a swim and walk with the dog,

The beach is lovely, close to Barna Woods, which is anothe worth seeing place, on the outskirts of town. A nice walk (~45min) will cover both places. P.S.: If you manage to pass the fence on the left side of the beach and climb the hill, you'll be able to see the Salthill Promenade from the top and the Burren, right across the canal :)

A beautiful beach for a beautiful swim. Watch the sun set or the sun rise from this stunning location. Barna has some delicious food choices too such as The 12.

Galway city is not a beach place but if you like wild and windy then go here! You might even see some kite-surfers in action
