Drive to Nanaimo to enjoy some time walking along the ocean watching the sea planes fly and stop to have lunch. Playground for the kids, swimming spot and floating restaurants. Take a 10 min boat ride to Protection island for exploring and lunch at the Dinghy Dock Pub. You can also access whale watching tours from here.

Waterfront walk, perfrect views of the water and boats. Very enjoyable way to exercise, grab a snack or a drink.

Just a 10 minute drive. This is a beautiful park in the heart of downtown Nanaimo on the waterfront. There’s a huge kids playground here. Also it’s part of the Seawall walking trail. Ice cream shops, restaurants & tourist shops close by.

Downtown Nanaimo's city park has just about everything: harbourfront walkway, children's playground, crab fishing dock, and a short strip of gift shops, coffee, ice cream and restaurants. You can also hop over to Newcastle Island on the small passenger boat located along the walkway.
