Eleven 36 is a cute little walk-up window where you can order coffee drinks and breakfast & lunch. There are benches to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. You'll meet lots of neighborhood locals here

CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE Another gorgeous little jewel of a place not too far away and en route to Prospect Park/Brooklyn Museum/Brooklyn Libary & Botanical Gardens. Eleven36 offers pastries, coffee drinks and a carefully-sourced selection of local produce and groceries. Amazing (if pricey!) eggs from the region and a daily pre-prepared fritatta. They also offer 1-2 gluten-free pastries daily.

Don't feel like making coffee? Walk a block away to this quirky, little coffee shop tucked away on the corner of President St and Rogers Ave. The pastries and breakfast menu are simple but well done, always fresh and delicious. There's some fun little menu items too like coconut oil, which adds a bit of island flavor to a hot coffee. The coffee prices are a bit high but I find it's the better tasting of those nearby and the food is priced right. Downside - no espresso drinks.
