A rail buff's paradise. The railroad loops over top of itself in its steady climb up into the Sierra Nevada. Watch trains "chase their tails" as they circumnavigate the historic "loop" at Spring Garden, just 20 minutes west of Portola on Highway 70. Tip, when you cross the tracks on the Highway 70 bridge, you just missed it!
