Piazza del Duomo is part of the hystoric center of Milan, with lively cafes and elegant fashion shops of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, dating back to the 70s of the 1800s. In the area there is also the Duomo of Milan, a Gothic cathedral with interiors marble and elevators leading up to the roof to admire the city from above. The Museo del Novecento displays works of contemporary Italian art while the sumptuous Palazzo Reale, dating back to the XVIII century, hosts temporary exhibitions.
