In my opinion, Andre's is the best artisanal bakery in the foothills. There pastries are flaky and delicious. The quiche is perfection. Go early or plan on a line.

Take one look at the pastries case and you'll know why Andrae's in the local haunt for baked goods. My personal faves are the chocolate hazelnut cookies.

Love their bakery selection. You can sit outside and enjoy the morning. Nice little town.

Best bakery in the area. Also sells coffee and cheese. Amador city is the smallest incorporated town in the U.S.
